Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your SPAL account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to make a request, what is deleted, and what we are required to retain.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your account, send an email to support@spal.app from the email address associated with your SPAL account. Include the subject line "Delete my account" so your request is routed correctly. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Removing the SPAL app from your Facebook account

If you signed in with Facebook, you can also revoke SPAL's access from Facebook directly: open Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites → select SPAL → Remove. This disconnects your Facebook account from SPAL. To also delete the personal data SPAL has stored about you, follow the email request process above.

Removing the SPAL app from your Google account

If you signed in with Google, you can revoke SPAL's access by visiting your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access → SPAL → Remove access. This disconnects your Google account from SPAL. To also delete the personal data SPAL has stored about you, follow the email request process above.

What is deleted

Your user profile, name, email address, profile picture, social-login linkages (Facebook ID, Google ID), notification preferences, and any content you have created (events, groups, registrations) where deletion does not affect other participants' records.

What we retain

We retain a minimal set of records when required by law or to protect other users: financial transaction records (typically 7 years for tax purposes), records related to disputes or fraud investigations, and aggregated analytics that do not identify you individually. Where possible, retained records are anonymized.

Timeline

We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. If we are unable to complete deletion in that time (for example, due to a legal hold), we will notify you with an explanation and an updated timeline.
